Winter Solstice~Macro Monday
Today is the first official day of Winter.
The winter solstice is today at 12:47 PM for those of us in the northern hemisphere. This is the shortest day of the year as the sun appears at it’s lowest point in the sky.
The good news is that after today the daylight gets longer and longer each day as we head towards spring. Yay!
The color of springtime is in the flowers, the color of winter is in the imagination. ~Ward Elliot Hour

Wonderful photos of traditional ornaments Teresa…and the tinsel. I still remember the kind that sparked on the tracks of my Lionel trains. We would never put tinsel across the track deliberately. Not us. Hah.

Thank you for reminding me of the winter’s solstice. I must admit that I do love the winter’s solstice more then the summer’s because I get tired of the long hot days in the desert. Your Christmas ornaments are beautiful.

First day of winter, eh? Mmm. Been pretty cold here for a while, but I know that’s not a real indication these days!
