Vintage Thingies Thursday 9/24
The object I chose to talk about for Vintage Thingies Thursday, may not be the most cherished item that I have.
In fact when I found it on the curb and brought it home, I was picturing flowers in it.
When my husband laid eyes on it, he envisioned ice cold beers chilling on a hot summer day.Sure enough after a thorough cleaning and passing it’s watertight test, several cervesas nestled among the ice cubes in his “new” cooler.
I was not aware that these old coolers kept their contents very cold as opposed to newer ones that only keep them cold. Plus it looks good too~ old, patriotic, vintage character.
Today I found out my son’s perspective on this old cooler.
Makes a great skateboard ramp.
So glad he appreciates the finer thin

Ha! Great photo. Very patriotic, love the red, white and blue. I saw a similar one at my son’s fraternity house a couple of weeks ago. It had “milk” written in magic marker on top. For some reason I don’t think there was milk inside!!!

Teresa,
I thought I’d stop by to say hi! What a story to go with your cooler. Glad to hear that items on the curb deserve a good home!
Thanks for sharing!
Living it up at Lakewood,

Ahhh….they sure don’t make ‘em like they used too! I have an old wood cooler with a metal liner – haven’t tried it out yet but the seller told me that “It keeps beer ice cold!”. lol
