Vintage Thingie Thursday
These are the great vintage finds from the garage sale I went to. This picnic basket is in almost perfect condition.
There are no breaks in the outside and it is lined with RED(my fave) and has service for 6 of plates, cups and silverware. I am not fond of the tableware but the basket is awesome. I will use it for plants in the summer, and for pointsettias at Christmas time.
Maybe I will even take it on a picnic one day, you never know. For $8 I’d say it was a great find. You can’t even by a new basket for that much anymore.
The dresser behind it is my next project. I will save that for another VTT.

If I was going on a picnic, I would love to use that basket. It is a nice one. My interest is in the chest. I love antique furniture.

I wish I had the picnic basket my parents had, especially with the red tableware and utensils. I think the red dishes had black
Scottie dogs on them.

Beautiful old picnic basket. I can remember when families actually USED those wicker baskets for picnicking!
You have a treasure there. And am looking forward to your chest of drawers post — I LOVE old furniture.

You find the best stuff. All I ever see is old stuffed animals and worn out mens’ shoes.
Looking forward to what you’re going to do with that dresser!

That basket is so neat…good for you! The red handled silverware matches some red handled knives that I inherited from my great grandmother. It’s nice to know there’s silverware out there to keep my eyes open for!
Have a great night!
