The rain came Monday and it kept coming and coming, well we were like a sinking ship with water coming in from all around. My husband and I both stayed home trying to keep up with the water. 2 sump pumps and two drains but the floor isn’t perfectly even so the water pools if you don’t keep up to it. So sweep we did! But notice those awesome Muck Boots that kept my feet and legs dry and warm.
Fashionable too wouldn’t you say?
While I was spending that quality time in the basement I came across those crocks I spoke of last week, my old ones that I wasn’t sure where they were. Found em! So here’s some more pots that I have accumulated. These are all pretty good sized. The blue and white is great, but it has some hair line cracks. I like that it is stamped from our city.
I hope all of you are faring the weather. It’s hard to know what season we are in with rain, then snow, then forty degrees and back again to snow and frigid temperatures. Oh well, it is January in the North East after all. It is supposed to be 6 degrees tomorrow at some point. Brrrrr. But at least there isn’t an Earthquake so I will quit complaining now and count my blessings.
The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
