Took a walk down by the river yesterday and was lucky enough to happen upon some ducks.  To spite the frigid temperatures they appeared to be enjoying life.

I was  happy to take a couple of photos and get back into my warm car.  I bet they wished they could do the same,

well… the warm car part anyway.

We went to Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, NY.

The ducks were having a grand time in the water.

I am always amused when I see them go underwater with their bottoms in the air, and I always wondered if they closed their eyes when they went under…..

I guess I have my answer.

Scenic Sunday

A few weeks ago, I saw these ducks near the river.  web-k-025

They were comical to watch.  They seemed a bit curious about me, but cautious. web-k-024

They stayed long enough to thrill me with a few quick shots and figured out I wasn’t feeding them, so  they were off, back to float on the river, far away from me.
