Gardening Gone Wild is hosting their monthly photo contest.  This month’s category is Ornamental Grasses.  Here’s my entry~web-gg

I believe a leaf of grass is no less than the journey-work of the stars.~

  1. Wow! They are BOTH gorgeous! I’ve fallen in with grasses this year–they are very graceful looking. Good luck on the contest!

  2. Wow, both photos are lovely. I headed out today to take some grasses photos….havn’t decided which to enter yet.

  3. They are both very pretty, I really love the one with the sun shining through.

  4. Great photos. The pink plume in the first one is wonderful. What kind/cultivar is it?

  5. No point in me entering. There’s already a winner. YOURS! I love the colors filtering through the light filtering through the textures… Fabulous!

  6. THanks for your kind comments. I am not sure of the kind/cultivar of the grass because it is not one of mine and my research is not a homerun. I think it is pennisetum messiacum or Red Buttons, fountain grass. I wouldn’t bet my life on it though and if anyone knows, please speak up because I wish I was certain. Both photos are of the same type of ornamental grass, if that helps.

  7. What a photo! I love it.

  8. I love your first photo here. Fiberoptic! Definitely not what I imagine when I think of grass!

  9. What an amazing picture! Looking good…

  10. Very beautiful entry. It is so soft. I really like the way the light shines through the second shot, though.

  11. Teresa, I love your photos. This one is gorgeous!

  12. very beautiful…i love having the closeup perspective of the individual grass.
