Picture This Photo Contest for July from Gardening Gone Wild
Lilacs welcome spring and early summer with their fragrance and beauty. Their bouquets fill our homes with the scent of nice weather and sunshine. That is why I chose it for my flowering shrub (tree) picture in the Gardening Gone Wild~ Picture This Photo Contest. Head on over to see all the rest of the entries. There are some spectacular photos there.
That shook their purple plumes,
And when the sash was open,
Shed fragrance through the room.

Love the lilacs! Down here they are not nearly as pretty as up north but are most awesome anyhow.

I miss lilacs! They don’t grow well on the west coast. Thanks for the lovely reminder – I can almost smell them…

I am in awe. YOur lilacs look so fresh and perfect. All too often ours are frost damaged. They still smell good, though. Great picture!
