Looking out my window this morning I was amazed by the scenery. It was as if beautiful landscaping was done in my yard, all in white.

Turns out Jack, Jack Frost that is, was doing his handiwork on my window. His intricate art is to be held in awe. Each sprig of frost looks as if it grew like a fern from the ground.

They are paintings in ice that really look like a scenic winter wonderland.
Or you could say they look sharp, edgy and jagged.

Either way it sure beats the frigid scene that waits behind them.

If it has to be cold, reallllly cold, I would just as soon see this wonderful artistry when I look to the window.

It warms my heart. Thanks Jack!

Teresa,
Just when winter begins to feel tiresome, there are gentle reminders of its quiet grace and and beauty. What beautiful patterns etched onto your window.

I love the Elliot quote! This post reminded me of my childhood in England. We had no heat upstairs and when Jack Frost visited, I would wake up to the most beautiful frosty patterns on the glass of my bedroom window! Precious memories. Lovely post. Pam

Wow! These are awesome pics! It’s so frozen where we are too in Massachusetts…. I used to live in the Hudson Valley area and the weather was pretty much the same there too. Can’t wait for spring!

It is very cool indeed. It makes me recall skiing way back before kids were born and seeing perfect snowflakes just like the ones you cut out. I don’t think I’ve seen snow like that in a long time.
