I made it a bit darker this time to look more arts and crafts era.
I put a faux leather seat on it since it will be outside and a couple of coats of polyurethane and we are back in business.
A welcoming chair to sit and enjoy a warm summer afternoon.

Your chair is wonderful! You really did a nice job on it. Good for you to preserve such a old piece of furniture.
Take care!

What a great redo. I love those big old chairs. You would think they wouldn’t be comfortable with all the big wood pieces, but it’s the opposite. My sister has one just like that and it’s my favorite chair at her house.

Great job on the chair. It looks like the perfect spot to sit and read the morning paper. Of course, I’m probably dating myself with that comment. Not too many people get the paper anymore. Your porch is very inviting.

We get the paper Betty. There is nothing like holding the real thing in your hand and you can sit on the porch to read and the glare won’t make it illegable like a computer screen. Somethings shouldn’t change completely.
