Foxglove is a source of digitalis which is prescribed by doctors to strengthen the heart and regulate the heart beat. It is also VERY poisonous! But Beautiful too! Just goes to show that looks can be deceiving.

there is definitely a colour competition going on in nature these days. the last flowers are vibrant and the leaves are on fire.

Foxgloves are beautiful, but a little bit unusual.., and interesting also to note that a poison is a medicine!!! ~bangchik

Mine are just beginning to wane. We’ve had a lot of frost bitten nights that has slowly killed the garden beds. Loved your photos!
