I enjoy pottery too. They have an earthy, garden-y feel about them…I have some nice, unique pieces that I find here and there. Sometimes even in the plant section of the grocery store. Nothing vintage…but still nice.

Isn’t it funny how something one person buys new becomes someone else’s treasure 30 years later?

Oooo, wonderful things for VTT today! Love the crock! And the amaryllis looks amazing in it. Love the pottery bowl and tray too. My Mom is always amazed at some of the things that I want from her too!
Happy VTT!

You took nothing and made something nice of it. We all tend to take things for granted when we could use them in better and pretty ways. I love your plant very much.

Besides being beautiful in its own right, it sure makes a fabulous container for your beautiful amaryllis!

Your pot is lovely– what a sweet mother-in-law you have, to share those with you. I also love your pottery pieces — I have several pieces that belonged to my grandmother that are really precious to me!

I’ve never seen a crock with two lips like that. It looks like two crocks nested and is perfect for your amaryllis.

I love crocks, and have a collection of them myself – mostly from my in-laws! Your flower looks so pretty – a nice spot of color during the winter. Thanks for showing us.

Smaller pottery pieces make good containers for forcing hyacinths.

Great pottery and, like you, would have swooped in and saved the MIL’s pottery from disappearing from the family.
