Trying to think of something interesting to write for this post and right under my nose were two vintage thingies just waiting to inspire me. web-todayy-035

So here is a vintage aqua canning jar filled with marbles. Some are really old, others belonged to my boys growing up, In any case, they are colorful in the light.  The other is a  ceramic dog I found on ebay a few years ago.  He makes me laugh.  Now there’s a face!  Both of these are on my desk and give me somthing to gaze at when I am lost for words.

I Hope you are having a great day!

  1. Your dog is really funny. I think I still have my old marbles somewhere.

  2. I love old glass marbles too and your canning jar is a really nice old one. That little dog made me smile too : ))

  3. I like your silly puppy – would love to have it on my desk.

  4. I love the marbles and I’ve been looking for jars like that for buttons – I’ve seen and passed on a million of them only to realize I should have bought them! LOL…such is life!

    Happy VTT!

  5. A great way to display marbles! I have a soft spot for aqua canning jars! And that dog is too funny!

    Thaks for sharing!

  6. Hello Teresa, I am trying to post a ‘thingie’ but slow going is the fact of the matter. Check back later.

Your marbles are so pretty in the jar. A joy to look at. Your dog is way too cute. He has to bring a smile to your face. And you don’t have to walk him. HA! I have a photo today with our puppy getting in the act. I should be up in an hour.

Thanks for your visit on my deer post.

    Hugs, Jeanne

  7. I enjoyed seeing all the pretty marbles. They really used to make some very big colorful ones. I had to smile when I saw your remark. My great grandson tells me all the time, MeMe you have lost your marbles when I do something really dumb.

  8. Your dog cracked me up! Too funny!

  9. That is one cute pup!! I love it!! I have been thinking about looking for some vintage marbles to sit in jars just like this….I wish I had the ones I had as a kid! Happy VTT!

  10. That dog is so cute! I love him!

  11. oooh I love the old canning jar, aqua is my favorite! I am a collector of marbles too. They’re so pretty when the light hits them. :)

  12. Cute dog, that’s a face that would make me smile too!
