Fertilizer Friday
There are many happy flowers growing in my garden to spite the lack of rain we have had.
I am having a baby shower on the twelfth and a graduation party on the 19th so I have been sprucing up the gardens so they can be enjoyed by everyone.
My fear is that we will get tons of rain on the dates of my parties. We need it now not then. I hope someone up there in the weather making department is listening.
I am probably jinxing my self right now.
Anyway my veggies are flourishing too.
In fact, we had our first lettuce and spinach salad last night for dinner.
Yum.
~The first gatherings of the garden in May of salads, radishes and herbs made me feel
like a mother about her baby – how could anything so beautiful be mine. And this emotion
of wonder filled me for each vegetable as it was gathered every year. There is
nothing that is comparable to it, as satisfactory or as thrilling,
as gathering the vegetables one has grown.- Alice B. Toklas

Gorgeous flowers! I just love the flower bed. We just moved and the backyard is all shade, under a big huge tree. Not sure what I can do with that.
