Delaware River
My husband and I took a drive last Friday.
We stopped along the Delaware River and had a picnic.

He is an avid fly fisherman so we stopped to see some of his fishing spots.
It was such a pretty place.
We saw an eagle’s nest as well as a cow or two.
The purple phlox were everywhere as well as many other wild flowers.
Birds were singing and swooping in and out.
It was a wonderful day with so much to see and enjoy.
It was peaceful as well as beautiful.
Makes me understand why he likes to fish there so much.

Hi Teresa, this is such a lovely post! I love all of your photos! What kind of birds did you capture? They are great shots and look like interesting birds. My grandparents had a cabin on the Susquehanna river in PA and we used to spend lots of time there, so I have a special place in my heart for rivers. In fact, my relatives go to Pike County (PA) every summer to float in tubes (and swim) in the Delaware river. They have someone pick them up after they’ve floated down it for a couple of hours. Lots of fun.

I am always hoping to see an eagle along the Delaware, but haven’t been lucky yet. Thanks for taking us on with you on your lovely trip.
