The weather has been very unpredictable around here so we haven’t been able to get a good start yet in the company garden. The plot is now rototilled, the dirt raked and free of rocks(Thanks Ginger and Mike~how are your backs feeling today?) and the raised beds will be up in the next week.  Add a little soil and we will be ready for planting.

The seedlings are still growing although we had a bit of a mishap and some were a bit wet when left outside so they got burned in the sun.  Easy mistake that can  happen to anyone. That’s what great about this project~   everyone here is learning as we go. When the first year is over we will have a whole crew of gardeners that know a lot more than they did when we started.

There were plenty that survived and are still doing well~more than enough for a garden.  Maybe all that Haven Brand Compost Teas we have been feeding them helped a bit.   So soon we will be enjoying the garden outdoors, can’t be soon enough.

My green thumb came only as a result of the mistakes I made while learning to see things from the plant’s point of view.  ~H. Fred Dale
