Christmas Bulbs Blooming!

Today I am sharing the paper whites that I forced a couple of weeks ago.  web-plants-012web-plants-004

web-plants-013 They are growing so fast.  I think they really like the light in my kitchen. web-plants-005

They already have blooms waiting to open.

Hi Teresa~~ I love the look of bulb foliage [and flower, of course] at Christmas. It looks so elegant juxtaposed with the fluffy confer-types and poinsettias. My experience, has been that when the foliage grows to a certain height, it flops, and the flowers flop…then I must get creative in propping it up. Maybe you’ll be luckier than me and if so, if you don’t mind, tell me your secret. :) Love your sidebar-Santa!

You are right Grace, they are getting to tall which means they will flop over. I plan on moving them into less light and I will tie a ribbon around them for support. They are getting ready to bloom so at least flowers will be there soon. I will keep my fingers crossed. Even falling over they will be a treat!
