Beach slugs
Here’s something you don’t see every day, at least not in the north east.
My cousin was out in california over the holidays and he took these pictures of the elephant seals.
(Look like Sea Lions to me.)
Now there is the kind of animal to be. Laying on the beach in the sun with all your friends.
Cuddled up.
Of course you may not want to look in a mirror, but the beach part sounds good.

Sea lions and turtles are comfortable to get to the beach, to bask and to lay eggs. Nowadays, they feel very awkward to land on popular beach and mingle with crowd of humans…. ~bangchik

I’ve seen these in the water and on the rocks in CA, but never on the beach as you have pictured. They are such fun little creatures to watch. I could stand and observe them for hours. Isn’t nature amazing?

I hadn’t thought of them, but they do look very cuddly as long as they don’t roll over on you. What a great angle on the cuddly theme this week.

I never thought that sea lions looked like slugs, but you are right. They do fit that description, though I do think they are much sweeter than the slimy kind.
