A little bit about me

I live in upstate New York with my husband, my son and our English Setter, Thunder. I also have another son and his wife who luckily live just a few blocks from us. They have a daughter, who is our one and only grandchild.Oh, don’t let me leave out my grand dog Fred. He is a bulldog. I am blessed to have all of them.
When the first robin arrives on the scene and the geese are heard flying north overhead, my heart leaps at the possibilities waiting out in my small corner of the Earth. So, as the gardening continues I hope to enlighten you at times and hope to be enlightened by you. Everyone gains their own experience at gardening and I am a whole hearted believer that there is so much to learn from every person that puts spade to dirt in hopes that they will truly reap what they sow.
It was my mother in-law that gave me my interest in gardening. She is the one who taught me the difference between perennials and annuals, bulbs and tubers.Basically…she taught me how to garden. I never realized how much went into gardening or how enjoyable it was until I watched her working in her yard.
It was the passing on of her knowledge and experience that taught me simple act of growing something just for the joy of it. Even though she is no longer with us, each and every time I garden, I think of her.
Working at gardenshoesonline.com is a lot of fun. It’s a warm atmosphere with great people and products. I am the photographer and I am so glad they discovered that I am also an avid gardener, and like the computer – a perfect combination to blog. As a gardener I am learning more every year and trying to find the tools that work best, so I will be able to tell you first hand about the products we have available and how they actually work first hand.
Check back often because we are always bringing in new things to make gardening even more enjoyable than it already is.
Happy Gardening!
