A Year of Blogging~ Already!

It’s hard to believe a year has gone by since the first time I posted this blog.  I have met so many kind and encouraging people that share the same passion~Gardening.

The year mark has made me look back and compare my garden to one year ago and even back to when we bought this house 3 years ago.  I can’t believe the differences. web-img_77742

This was three years ago when we had the yard fenced in right after we bought it. We also had one of the huge trees cut down that was old and unhealthybbbbbb.

We have completed several projects that have made our yard so much more enjoyable to my whole family.

This year I can’t wait to fill our new raised beds with vegetable plants.

This was the back corner of our yard as the fence went up.  The corner was filled with weeds and overgrown forsythia bushes that hadn’t been taken care of forever.  There was an old fence and lattice between the yards.bbefore

This was the border we added  after the fence was up.web-t-012

Last year we put in a stone patio so we can enjoy the garden in the back corner of the yard.web-today-005

Just about every afternoon after work, my husband and I sit out there and take in the flowers and watch the birds.

This is last summer after we completed the stone sitting area.

This summer we plan on taking advantage or our wonderful yard and gardens to host a baby shower for our oldest son and daughter in law, who will be having our first grand daughter in July, and a party for our youngest son who is graduating fromhigh school. That may be our only projects for this summer.

Working for Garden Shoes Online has exposed me to many great products that make the gardening experience more pleasureable.  I am glad I get to share that with my new found friends and acquaintences.

It has been educational~ I learn so much by visiting all of you~ but mostly it’s been great fun.circle

Congratulations on your first anniversary! I love ‘before-and-after’ pictures. What a difference to your yard.
The first grandchild is extra-special – Congrats. again – and the graduation party is another cause for celebration. I think those two events are quite enough to plan in one summer. Have a wonderful one! Pam

Congratulations on your First Blogiversary! I know all about the excitement of a first grandbaby! Mine is due any day now and the anticipation is driving me crazy! I cannot wait to see him and hold him for the first time!

I love the seating area you created in the corner. You just inspired me. I have an area where we tore down an ugly old shed and the brick flooring is still there. I think I will dress it up a little and add some chairs and flowers.

Teresa, congrats on one year! Wow! I love comparing before and after pics. I especially love your stone patio. This is similar to what my front patio space will be…one day! I’m waiting for my newly planted landscape (last summer) to mature and to find a sale on the stone! LOL! Your raised beds look great too…much progress in a year! Bravo!

wow. What a wonderful post, full of milestones and good news. The garden transformation is amazing. I love the before and after photos. And what thrilling news that you’ll be a granny soon! (does granny sound terrible or what?!).
