Slowly over the years I have accumulated all of these chairs.
I found every single one of them on the curb and brought them back to life with sand paper, elbow grease and most importantly RED paint.
I love turning a piece of junk into something wonderful and useful.
They give my yard character and color and the price was right.

You took someone trash and made it into something very nice. Your red chairs look great in your yard.

Teresa~Thank you so much for your post. I have 2 of the same type of chairs along with a glider. They are old and rusted. I was just about to the point of sitting them on the side of the road BUT now your post has inspired me to use some navel jelly and clean the rust off and paint them red. I love your furniture so much.
Again thanks for sharing and inspiring me.:)
Fondly,
Ann

I like the way you tie your collection together by painting them red – a cherry color in all seasons.

I like both of those types of chairs. They look especially nice in red.

Those are all such great, classic chairs! And to think you got them all curbside. They really look beautiful again thanks to your TLC and hard work!

How pretty! My mom has the metal one in yellow and a child-sized one to match. They’re the ugliest things ever but she loves them. I bet I’d love them too if she’d let me paint them up as pretty as yours…I’ll have to ask her!
Have a great VTT!

I love those chairs…both varieties. And they were free? Wow!
I’m visiting from the Coloradolady. Please stop by my place and take a look at the three linky parties I’m starting up the first week of June.
Have a great Memorial weekend!

I love your vintage chairs, both metal and the adirondack! My vintage metal chairs came from the alley behind my house. Someone was actually throwing them away. Like you, I salvaged mine too and gave them a coat of paint. Mine are green. If we put our chairs together we would have a Christmas post!! Happy VTT!
Love,

What great finds both! I remember that my great grandmother had metal outdoor chairs like that. They were more comfortable than one would expect. You have a beautiful yard.

I “saved” a pair of metal chairs. Mine are painted dark green, but it is time to give them a face lift. My grandparents had six of the metal ones with the scrolls in the back. I wish I had them today…
