The weather report in our newspaper yesterday actually said gorgeous as the description for the day. I don’t think I have ever seen that before.
It is amazing how a word can affect our impression of something. Sunny would have been a good word but instead gorgeous really jumped out and made you want to run outside to see what kind of day was shaping up.
Gorgeous is exactly the description I would have used to describe the weather yesterday.
I was out in my yard most of the day enjoying the perfect weather. It was sunny and warm, but not too hot and the air was crystal clear. A few puffy clouds in the afternoon made the sky even prettier.
The “gorgeous” weather made my flowers even more vibrant and colorful. After all the rain we have had lately it was so nice to be able to be outside and enjoy the garden.
I love when many plants are all blooming at the same time. I know as most gardeners do, that we have to take in the blooms while they are here because most perennials aren’t in bloom for very long. I wish my entire garden could be in bloom all at once, and last for the whole season.
Now that would be something to see.
I sit in my garden, gazing upon a beauty that cannot gaze upon itself. And I find sufficient purpose for my day. ~Robert Brault
